After an embarrassing capsize due to spinnaker sheet lost to leeward I experimented with a reliable way of sailing single handed. I initially tried just tieing the two sheets together behind the mainsheet cleat, this just caused lots of tangles. I finally came up with this.

Same for both sheets figure of eight a good way from the end, (need to mark with a pen) the ends are then tired to the toe straps, end of the aft end crew toestraps for the jib and the forward end of the helm toestaps for the spinning.
