Quickly took the clamps of the coaming on the way out to work this morning, offered a rule up to it and was shocked how flat it was.

Long day at work as I was keen to finish it off

Very carefully took the belt sander to it as soon as I arrived home. Little tickle and check with the hatch and rule a bit more sanding. Was worried about this but I’m really pleased. Probably not how a shipwright would have done it but fit for purpose.
