Stonehouse Pool

Visiting Royal William Yard (Plymouth) today and being an hour after low water the Stonehouse pool was dry. Took a few pictures for possible Dinghy Cruising adventures. These where taken about an hour an after a 0.9m low water.

The Area
View from A
Steps close to point A looking into the dock. Could make a good landing spot at high water
On the beach at B, flat, little slipway and some steps
C, Stonehouse Pool boat club floating pontoon. Not accessible to the public
D, Admiral’s Slipway, the left is used by the ferry the right could be used though nothing to tie up to

Obviously there is plenty of cafés etc in the Royal William Yard but probably not really suitable for wet, muddy sea dogs. There are a couple of cafes outside that may be better. Alternatively we did tie up on a pontoon at the Mayflower marina and eat at their cafe without incident
