Gull design update

There has been a change in direction. In preparing I started looking at areas of the hull that required attention, the short story 3 of the stiffening ribs were saturated and I removed them. In designing there replacement I decided a series of frames would:

  • Add considerable stiffness
  • Allow a permanent floor above the bilges
  • Not require reconfiguration to sleep
  • Allow massive under the floor storage, anchors, warps, water
  • Still lighter than the original setup

I have also changed to using my beach rollers for additional buoyancy, a good storage area is accessible ahead of these. The CAD shows the storage under the foredeck cover. The thwart is two waterproof cases with a plank on top.
