Stitch and glue joints

One of the most frequent questions on forums about stitch and glue is about aligning the panels. Tried wire, too many twists and they snap and difficult to remove. So cable ties is the way to go. Don’t over tighten at first but when the whole chine is done you can work it tighter. To improve a few £ will get you 100 hard wood dowels which helps align the panels. They get reused so a great investment.

Don’t epoxy over the dowels and tie wraps but tack it and then remove the tie wraps and finish. This is iki wa’a under construction
