amble up the ‘amble

First proper adventure with iki wa’a since moving south. Nice trip up the Hamble. Launched at Swanwick two hours before HW and went upstream. Past the M27 bridge and the last of the motor boat pile moorings it is a nice river, mud flats, forests and fields. It felt as it we’d been transported three hundred years into the past. Arrived at the head of the two feeder rivers before HW and slowly headed back down river. Have to say any tidal effect was minimal but nice to know if it had gone wrong we would be carried home.
